Type: Stem plant/Terrarium/Marshlands/Pot Plant/Can even live in your garden outside!!!
Growth Rate: Average
Lighting: Medium to Very High
Colour: Pink, Yellow, Green. Variants of these shades in one plant.
Additional Information: This plant is for terrariums and frog enclosures only or a shallow area in the aquarium where its leaves can be exposed to the atmosphere. It can last a significant amount of time in an aquarium however it will not grow very well and over the course of a year or so it will eventually die or become virtually non-existent.
-If you are using this as a pot plant then plant it in your desired pot with potting mix and put a cut off 2 litre soft drink bottle over top like a dome or cover it in cling wrap. You’re essentially making a miniature greenhouse just to keep the humidity up while the plant grows its roots. Keep the soil damp but not swimming. Once your plant has some roots in about 1-2 weeks time you can take the cling wrap or dome off, trim off any shrivelled leaves and proceed happily from there.
Great for aquariums and ponds. For those of you with ponds: Pot this one and place it in a semi-shallow area near the edge and let it creep along the surface of the water and around the edges. If your pond is dirted then plant near the edge in the shallow areas. Be sure to not submerses the leaves since it is a marginal and won’t tolerate being fully underwater for long.
-Pond Potting instructions: Line a plastic mesh pond pot with high-flow weed matting (available at Bunnings in a grey roll), fill with Daltons Aquatic Mix and then cap with a fine washed pebble to stop the aquatic mix from escaping the pot. Remove bottom 3cm or so of leaves from your stems and plant them about 1-3 inches apart. THEN lower the pot into your pond very slowly to avoid making a mess.
