Description
Type: Stem
Care: Average to advanced. It will either love or hate your aquarium. A little fussy in other words. Co2 is not always necessary as I have seen A.R grown quite well in both low-tech and high-tech situations. I have not actually worked out what this plant “likes” per se. It’s a mystery and it will either grow extremely well for you or stunt and attract algae.
Growth Rate: Average.
Lighting: Medium to Very High
Propagation: Cuttings
Origin: South America
Latin Name: Alternanthera Reineckii ‘Mini’
Colour: Hot Pink – when grown submerged under reasonable light
Extra Info: This plant arrives looking much different to the photo; not as pink basically. This is because it has been grown out of water to ensure it is snail and algae free so you don’t have to do a plant dip. Plant dips are actually quite damaging to plants but they are necessary in some cases if you’re worried about algae or snails. You can expect its bright colour and shape to take appear once submerged in your aquarium for a couple weeks or more (assuming it’s basic requirements are met) i.e. Good quality root tabs in the substrate and medium to bright light.
Product photo is its “submerged look”
Algae and snail free!
